What a great start to a series. Loved the early byplay between Eve and Roarke. It was weird not see Peabody but she's not been introduced yet. Neither had McNab. Really, Eve's life was so different. With Mavis being her only real friend. It's amazing to go back and read this book now to realize just how far the series and the characters have come.
