This is a wonderful little book. A quick read, but a powerful one. Protagonist Ponyboy Curtis and his brothers and friends are trapped in a world with little hope, "greasers" who are hated by the "Socs." Not a very complicated plot, but an incredibly rich drawing of the characters and the world they find themselves trapped in.

I loved this book. I read it a long time ago but it was always one of my favorites.
