This was such an enticing book, I found I just didn't want to put it down. To think this was written by a teenager too makes it even more believable. It is funny, sad, dramatic and thought provoking, I wish I had read this when I was younger.

This is a wonderful little book. A quick read, but a powerful one. Protagonist Ponyboy Curtis and his brothers and friends are trapped in a world with little hope, "greasers" who are hated by the "Socs." Not a very complicated plot, but an incredibly rich drawing of the characters and the world they find themselves trapped in.
