I've never been an uber-fan of this series. All the elements I love in a UF are present - kick-ass heroine with a sarcastic streak, engaging action-packed story, and probably one of the my favorites in terms of world-building, but I wasn't going to jump up and down in excitement over the books. This book may have changed my mind about the series.

I am pretty sure that I started the review of the last book by asking "is it possible for these books to get any better?" and once again, I am going have to answer in the affirmative. Where book 3 was brilliant, this one was almost off the scale. I'm convinced that I would be able to listen/read this series over and over and it wouldn't get old. This story line was so gut wrenching but I loved how fierce Kate was in her protection of Curran. I know that she's convinced that she's wrong for him but she's oh so perfect! I love the progression of the story line of Kate's origins.
