Maybe I'm taking this too literally but it seemed to say people with mental illness should "just snap out of it" because mental illness is imaginary, rather like Veronika's criminally-induced heart attack symptoms (the end justifying the means taken to ridiculous extremes). E.g. schizophrenia is "cured" by falling in love (which happens when you hear someone playing the piano and then watch them masturbate). All in extremely childish language.
