This book was lent to me by a friend and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised as I more than likely would have never picked the book up on my own, especially after reading the description which explains the characters are based off of the biblical characters of Jacob and his wives.

Though not extremely religious, I'm familiar enough with stories of the Bible, and it was interesting to hear a woman's perspective as well as the customs and day to day life of the Age.

I absolutely loved the first half of this book and all the stuff about the rituals and customs of women. I didn't like the second half as much and actually put the book down for a while but all in all it's a really interesting take on a biblical story. ...more

This book was recommended to me by my daughter who doesn't read very much fiction. She said, "If the who Bible was written like this, I would read it all." ...more
