So the last time I posted about this book, I was hating it, struggling for the gazillionth time with it, convinced I was going to have to muscle through it. I was right. I DID have to muscle through it---but WOW. I am SO glad I did. (Feel the burn, baby.) Considering this is a famous classic, I didn't really enjoy it. I thought the writing was great - it was a wonderful study of unreliable narrators. But I disliked all of the characters so intensely that it made it quite difficult to get through. I have to admit, I cheered when Cathy died as I found her utterly abhorrent.

oh my goodness, what a waste of time!! I didn't like this book at all, at all! This is one of those books that I would have gladly thrown against a wall except that I was reading electronic version on either my kobo / internet explorer so I couldn't physically do that. Mostly, I despised the characters with my only forgiveness for Isabella Heathcliff (nee Linton) for her only redeeming action of saving herself.
