What I like from this Zane & Violet's story:

- Its fast-paced, this is one contemporary romance/comedy romance book that instantly engage me to the story and the characters. After the introduction on first couple chapters, the author didn't waste time describing the main story. I like that it can connect me both to the story and the characters and feel that I can't stop reading until finish it.

- The main characters. Violet is hilarious. She's awkward, geeky and naive at the same time. I 3.5 stars

What I like from this Zane & Violet's story:

- Its fast-paced, this is one contemporary romance/comedy romance book that instantly engage me to the story and the characters. After the introduction on first couple chapters, the author didn't waste time describing the main story. I like that it can connect me both to the story and the characters and feel that I can't stop reading until finish it.

- The main characters. Violet is hilarious. She's awkward, geeky and naive at the same time. I especially like her blubbering it so funny made me laugh out loud. While Zane is perfect for her, he's definitely could be a perfect book boyfriend for readers. They banter makes this story more alive and boy, I can feel the sexual tension between them.

- The surprise. It has the same formula with a lot of books out there. Therefore I didn't expect any different thing to happen and to be honest I also didn't see there will be a surprise. I just read it without trying to guess what will happen to the characters or what's next so when the surprise happened, it really surprised me. For that, I have to admit it kind of changed my thought about this book.

What I didn't quite like:

- As much as I like Violet, there is part of her that annoyed me. She has insecure personality, I get that and understand her reason but it's too much I find it annoying. She calls every woman who spends her time with Zane is bitch, girls and/or women who flirt, dance and stare at Zane are bitches. Most girls and/or women are bitches if they near Zane. I also think the way her think quite amazed me in not-so good way. She describes her period with one word, yuck. I didn't understand why she think it's a yuck thing when it's a natural for her and every girl/woman in this whole world. And her dialogue here: Seriously. “I’m seventeen,” I snap. “Not a hooker.”, seriously Violet what being seventeen have to do with being a hooker? I think there isn't correlation between age and hooker. I mean, whore can be in any age, right? Or is there specific age that girl/woman can be labeled as a hooker?

What I didn’t quite understand, I think it’s either an inconsistency or a typo

As a reader, I'm always looking for books I can devour and never want to put down. A lot of the books I've read recently have been utterly disappointing, but Falling for the Ghost of You is not one of those. Once I started it, I couldn't stop reading. I even stayed up until three in the morning just to finish it.

I don't think I've ever laughed so much reading a book before. Violet is witty and sarcastic, even when she's incredibly embarrassed and awkward. How awkward she is probably shouldn't be ...more

Read it a while ago, and it was fun. Nothing special, but it supplied some laughs and a few "awww" moments. They talk about and have sex quite a bit, but there are no details so it's PG-13.

OMG! This was hilarious!! I laughed so hard I almost peed in my pants! This book was all kinds of fabulous!!! I haven't written a review in ages but I just had to find the time to write one for "Falling for the Ghost of You". I loved, loved, loved this!!! Honestly, the moment I finished it I wanted to go and tell everyone how great it was. It was utterly romantic and at the same time laugh-out-loud funny. Despite all the funny situations the story had depth and the characters felt real.

I adored Violet, I would love to have her as my best friend. She's sometimes insecure but she has spunk and the way she sometimes just says what's on her mind is refreshing and makes for some really funny scenes. And then there is Zane. Oooh, baby, he's my new number one book boyfriend! :-) He's funny and hot as hell! If I didn't like Violet so much I would have been seriously jealous of her. Really, I want a Zane of my own! But okay, I have to admit that the story works so well because these two are just perfect for each other. I really got the feeling that they belong together. They are friends before they become a couple and you can see that they have a lot in common. But ooh, the sexual chemistry between them is pretty hot, especially for a young adult/new adult book. I'm not sure in which category I would place this. Violet is seventeen and Zane is twenty, so age-wise it's both or in-between but due to the sexual content I would recommend this for older teens. It's not too graphic but there are some make-out scenes and sex in the book.
I didn't care for the twist towards the end of the book, hadn't seen it coming either as I didn't read any spoilery reviews before, but I guess most people won't mind. But for me the feeling of the story just changed after that and I couldn't get this perfect vibe back. I think it was unnecessary because Zane's character was already perfect before the big reveal and it didn't make him any more interesting or sexy than he already was.
But this is a small complaint in an otherwise great, great, great story and I can't recommend this book highly enough! You just have to read it it's wonderful! I can't believe that Nicole Christie hasn't written any other books - at least I couldn't find any. I will stay on the look-out and will buy anything she writes. Yep, she's that good! :-)

Loved this book to pieces! I had some serious laugh out loud moments and I loved Violet and Zane!! It really was a refreshing read and just genuinely a pleasant read! It now holds a place as one of my favorites!
