As is frequently my complaint with story collections, all the stories seemed to emanate from the same angst-ridden brain. There were creative ideas contained in the stories, but the ambience of the stories was the same throughout.

So a few of these stories are brilliant and laugh out loud funny but then there are some that miss the mark for me. He is a really creative writer but sometimes I think he is better in one off situations like The New Yorker. His collections can be just too much of him.
