Debut novembre. Il est neuf heures. Les mesanges viennent se coigner la fenetre. Un peu assommees, il leur arrive de reprendre leur vol, mais parfois elles tombent et se debattent un moment dans la neige fraiche avant de retrouver l'usage de leurs ailes. Je me demande ce qu'elles peuvent bien venir chercher chez moi....

The book had me almost right away. It was beautifully written. A story about an old man who decided to leave his life behind to seek solitude at a cabin (I think in Norway). His childhood memories came rushing back... unresolved mystery with his father's abandonment, his best friend's family, etc.
