I love this humour. “He looked at me with an eye that could open oysters at 50 paces”. “What drew the officer’s attention? - The sound of stealthy footsteps. - Perhaps someone stepping stealthily?” I laughed out loud with every turn of the page.
The characters are brilliant and the plot is pure farce with just the right amount of satire. I pictured Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry in their classic roles which, for me added to the fun.
