What Members Thought

I enjoyed this book a lot - Moore has a terrific sense of humor and a real dexterity with prose. She writes about the natural world and weather better than most, in my experience only Annie Dillard does that as well as Moore.
The last line of the book totally slayed me and I wish I could have started another book by the author right away!

Sorry, Ms. Moore. This book just didn't do it for me. The story was not interesting, plus the reading was grating (sorry, Ms. Barron.) If this is your style, it will take a lot of convincing in the future before I pick up any of your books again (note to self.)
I hung on a bit longer than I should have, perhaps, only to see what's all this talk about the adoption part was all about. Then I got there, and... looked a lot like gapers' traffic - nothing to see.
