I was so excited when I got to Phury's book.

I had really high expectations but I’m saddened to say that I was disappointed. Instead of feeling like a romance, it seemed more in tuned to his past and current drug addiction. I felt like there wasn’t enough time dedicated in the story to Phury and Cormia (and its already been established that I adore Cormia)

It's strange, I seem to like the odd numbers more than the even! This one I found a little disappointing. Phury was annoying, I just wanted to shake him! Cormia was lovely though and the progression of things within Vampire society is really very interesting. That's what I would say about this book, it's great if you focus on the progression of the meta plot (lessers, scribe virgin, glymera, brothers etc.) but in terms of the romance that was focused, it was just plain irritating!

Another great installment for the Black Dagger Brotherhood! Although this installment is supposed to be the story of Phury, it is chock full of subplots. It is the story of the Omegas son, the beginning of Qhuinn journey with the Brotherhood and the return of Tohrment. Amazing changes are coming for the Brotherhood, and the war with the Lessers is becoming critical.....cant get enough of the BDB!!!
