I liked it, but this one was a little different from the others. It was for all the characters, the ones from the previous and the ones of the next books. It wasn't only Phury and Cormia, they were part of the book, but it didn't feel as they were the main thing, but something on the side.

Man, it took me FOREVER to get through this one (one week due to surgery)! I did enjoy it more than I originally thought I would, but it was definitely not one of my favorites in the series thus far. Like others have said, it was severly lacking in the romance department, which was what I liked least about it. What made up for this though was all the subplots going on involving JM, Blay, and Quinn, Lash, the Lessening Society, the war in general, etc. I can't wait to keep reading the series and ...more

This still wasn't as good as the previous books but I still enjoyed it. Gottatell you I didn't expect what I got from Phury with the whole wizard thing that took me by surprise and I didn't realize how much of an addict he was. I also gotta say I really wanna see Qhuinn and Blay get together, maybe in another book but it has got to happen ahahaha just cause I say so. By the end of the book I got emotional over Zsadist and Phury making amends. ...more

Wow, I really enjoyed this book, I read it in less than a day! As much as the story was about Phury, I enjoyed the parts about John Matthew just as much, and I think John is one of my Favorites, next to Zsadist. And I love Qhuinn and Blay!

These books are such page turners! Can't wait to start the next one! ...more
