Ok. So I’m not really sure where to start. I wanted to like this book. I tried to like this book. I kept praying that by some miracle this book would get better for me. It just didn't happen.

Gist of the story: Daniel(Bastian) and Raine get marooned on a deserted island. He teaches her how to survive eating raw fish and pelicans, she teaches him how to love and trust. Simple basic love story.

4.5 stars. What a great fucking book! I loved the H. Sebastian is tortured, violent, broken and an asshole extraordinaire. And I loved him. I adored him, and I wanted to comfort and protect him and then watch him beat the dog shit out of some assholes who dared to fucking touch what belonged to him. He was ingenious and smart and the more I learned about him the more I fell for him.

This book was so freakin' good!!

This story is not just about survivial, but also about a severely broken man who quite literally hates himself. He has been abused, unloved and used in every possible fashion in his life and was quite literally drowning himself in women and booze. I love this author! She writes swoonworthy jerks to perfection! This jerk was absolutely wonderful! When Sebastian finds himself pretty much shipwrecked with Raine he has to find a way to confront his demons so that he can get the girl he thought he didn't want. Filled with crazy back stories and twists that tie them together as well as steamy moments this book has everything! Will definitely be reading book 2 ...more
