… although I loved you, my beautiful girl, this is not a romance novel.

And it wasn’t. But it was such a beautiful story. It was about love, loss, forgiveness, friendship and most of all, pain.

This song reminded me a little of The Siren: The Only One

Nora Sutherlin is famous for her works of erotica and each book sells more than the last. But this time it’s different.

You would hope that this is a simple story but it is not. It has 3 men and one (lucky…at least I think so) woman. The men, Søren, Wesley and Zachary. I had a crush on Søren, I adored Wesley and to be honest I thought Zach was just ok. I’m happy it wasn’t a simple story, though at 50% (and a few more times at the end) my heart almost stopped!

Honestly, I'm not really sure how I want to write this review. I finished this book in two days and I don't think I have been through so many emotions in such a short time range. I cried, I laughed, I wanted to hit at least every character once in the face, and I felt the emotional pain they felt. I loved this book. Wow. This book was amazing. It was very well written and I can't wait to read the next one. It took a little time before I developed an attachment to the characters, but eventually I did and I couldn't wait to see what happened. I'm not sure how I feel about the ending though. Nora had 3 men to choose from. I found it difficult to choose one to root for, not because I didn't like them, but because they were all so different. Wow! Ok, so this was definitely original.

Interesting but somewhat gloomy story about Nora, erotica writer and dominatrix and her relationships with Zach, her British editor, Wesley, her 19 year old virgin roomate/assistant and Soren, her ex dominant boyfriend.

The writing was great, very smart and raw. The story was very original, never read anything like it and with some sort of unexpected turns.

I really enjoyed it.
