Life.
Life is the one thing is this world that you can never fully prepare for. Never truly know what can happen from today until tomorrow.
One day everything seems to be as it should be, the next? Everything is falling apart.
How are we supposed to cope with the shit that is thrown our way? How are we supposed to smile and act when the worst seems to have happened?
The loss of a family member, the relationship lost between friends, the loss of your income? Daily struggles that we face, dail ...more

"Point of Retreat" (POR) begins beautifully, but more challenges await our lovers. This book is full of emotional climax after climax and you WILL cry along with our characters. It's a true fight for love. The supporting characters have a larger role in POR, but they are still handled with care in the context of Will and Lake. Many times through the book they are ACTUALLY SUPPORTING Will or Lake for different reasons.
In POR we're given a deeper look in to Will's emotional determination and his a ...more

A beautiful love story....I read this one immediately after Slammed, I could not wait to hear more of the story. This book is from Will's point of view, so it took me a few chapters before I had to keep reminding myself that they were Will's thoughts and not Lakes...but other than that I loved this book. So happy for a happy ending, as I have read too many recently that left me in tears at the end.

First of all- suck and sweet time will be a new part of my household routine. Slammed and Point of Retreat just sucked me in head over heels. I started reading at 9:00 this morning, and here it is 6:30pm and I am done with both books. I am also going to say that my lungs hurt from holding my breath so much through these books. I thought the first book was fantastic, but the second book was butterflyingly brilliant. I am so disappointed that I waited so long to read these two books.

This was a really good sequel to Slammed. It rung a little more emotion from me than Slammed did. I don't know I'd it was the story or my mood or the fact that I knew who all the characters were. Definitely recommended if you have read Slammed.
