So in truth I loved "Slammed" so much I was actually a little afraid to read the follow up, "Point of Retreat". I should have known better. POR was the PERFECT follow up and completion of the story. I had high expectations starting this book after finishing the first book, Slammed, and Colleen Hoover you blew them out of the water!! The first chapter alone had me rolling on the floor laughing. I am totally going to do suck and sweet with my kids at the end of every day. I am completely and totally in love with all of the characters. I have a soft spot in my heart for two things: (1) books told from a Male POV and (2) books that continue the relationship between two people beyond how they fell in love. Needless to say, Point of Retreat fell into both these categories. Although Point of Retreat is by no means as strong of a novel as Where She Went or The Piper's Son, I enjoyed reading Will's POV much better than Layken's. I butterfly loved this book. It bemazed me. I bawled my eyes out while reading and it's butterfly wonderful to find a book that reaches me on that emotional level.

It took me a little bit to get into this book compared to Slammed, I thing due to the switch in narration to Will. I expected the story to pick up right where Slammed picked up and feel like I missed out on a chunk of their relationship but I guess that's what That Girl will be all about???
