I'm still bouncing around between 4 and 5 stars with this one. I'm going to settle on 4 only because I was planning on it being a 4 star read up until the last few pages.
Everything I loved about the first book was evident and then some in Insurgent. All the secondary characters; Tobias, Christina, Lynn, Uriah, Marcus (love to hate him), the abundance of new and reintroduced old characters, and, and, and... All of them just grabbed and shook me.

This book series is amazing. I really can't wait for the next. This one confused me a little but the outcome was good. I wanted to see more from Beatrice she was so strong in book 1 and this one she felt a little weak. But after losing her family I guess that is too be expected.

I didn't read the last chapter. It just got TIRED. The first book was great - but this one it's like Moonlighting. Are you too old for Moonlighting? Everytime they get close to each other, the phone rings.

I'll admit Divergent was better but I did still like this book. Something that bothered me was that this book picked up right where Divergent left off but at the end of Divergent Tris and Four where strong together but in Insurgent it seemed that they where so distant from each other, they didn't trust each other through out the whole book and they were always arguing and Tris was always crying. I hope in the next book they are back to what they were in Divergent where you could feel their chemi

While this one was good it didn't capture me the way the first one did. It took me forever to get through and I was eager for the end just to get to the good parts.
