The really scary thing to me was how much this was like a Mirror, Mirror version of Fifty Shades of Grey. Everything Anthony did to Claire was something Christian could have done to Anastasia - if he didn't have a conscience. I read a book a couple of weeks ago labeled as Horror. This book cannot be judged by its cover. Actually, not even the whole story can represent the total grandness of it. This series is a one big misplaced puzzle that needs to be completed. Do the parts fit? Not always, if not to say not at all. Those pieces that need to be yet found are hidden and treacherous.
The ploy is either a deed of a genius or a total sickfuck... or maybe is it both?
What's the point of the whole story?

I'am still processing... yes, and I still am after a couple of days.
This one is hard to rate because I did not love it, I actually hated much about what was going on in the story, but since I am still thinking about it and coming up with scenarios for the next two books in the series, I am going to give this book 4 stars.

WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!! I find myself angry, as if someone just slapped me...don't know if I can stomach the second book. SICK FUCK!!!!! Sorry , about the cursing I am so UPSET!!!

Aleatha Romig has mind-fucked me senseless. I can't say I totally enjoyed the experience, but what I will say is this, 'She's also a goddamn genius'!

This book is one amazing ride. The writing is spectacular and you will find yourself vasilating between all of your emotions. One minute I am sure how I feel and the next I am way over on the other side of what I thought and believed before. Once I thought I was sure about something, the author was perfect at stopping me in my tracks and making me doubt myself...much like the female lead of this story. I'm sure there have been plenty from the professionals giving cliff notes of this book so I'm skipping that. This is a raw, emotional story about abuse. 4.5 WTF stars! What the heck did I just read? Even knowing what it was about it still did not go how I thought it would, man I have a smile on my face from the turn it took, I truly love when I don't see something coming. Insane! Now should I jump right into this crazy mess and go for book 2 or take a nice break into a SANE read?
