I FUCKING LOVED ~~HATED~~ IT!!!! Can't write a review until I get back from my therapy session. I think I may be permanently scarred by this one.

So after contemplating a review for this book, all I can tell you is that I feel like I'm sitting on the scariest and most exhilarating roller coaster ride I've ever been on. My heart rate was whacked out this whole book !!! I hate love triangles but I loved this book. Holy effing cliffhanger. I need book 2. Right.Now. Right. Freaking. Now
Wow. I was disgusted with the last scene in this book but I'm hoping on HOPE and I want to purge that from memory and this part of their HEA.
Read this and it will all make sense ! This was hot and steamy off the charts read but ...the drama wrench gets me every damn time !!!!! ...more

3.5 - 3.75 Stars... I'm actually extremely thankful that I read Amber to Ashes before reading this series. I really liked the message of the series overall but I actually dnf'd book two in this series and had a lot of trouble getting through this one at various times. I understood that our main character has grown up in and ultimately been conditioned for abusive relationships so when she meets a man that is not an abuser that she might be unsure and distrustful... This book was addictive as hell, but the most infuriating, frustrating read ever, and yet I was hooked. I don't think I have ever despised and felt bad for a female character at the same time in my life. Emily was so weak minded she frustrated the hell out of me.

I still couldn't put this book down. It definitely had me, even thought it annoyed me at times.

Good lord! I fell into this and did not look back! I’ve had this on my list for a while, and decided to pick it up the other night. I started at six-ish and didn’t stop reading until I was done. Needless to say, I didn’t wait around—I scooped up the second installment too, Pulse.

I fell in love with Gavin most of all, and was slightly irritable with Emily most of the time.

My only complaint? I’m not a big fan of insta-love, and Gavin was insta-in-love with Emily. Well, I suppose Emily was my seco ...more
