Horrifyingly fantastic!!! Absolutely loved the idea of mixing history, zombies, and a little romance into a nonstop page turner!! I devoured it in less than a day.

It's no surprise that I am a HUGE Karina Halle fan. Why? Well not only are her books against the norm when it comes to characters/plot and the like, but because of all these little details that manage to suck me in. For instance, the Donner party was a group of pioneers that once stranded they resorted to cannibalism. While this is a fascinating and disgusting, Karina manages to take this part of history and weave it with unforgettable characters, plenty of terror, and some romance along the way

Loved it!! Karina Halle is my favorite author I just love how she writes and the characters that she creates is so easy to fall into the story and love the characters as well. This book was pretty freaking scary and had me on edge the entire book. I loved the pace and the setting the fact it was historical and based on real events. loved loved it!!!

I flipping LOVE her books, her writing style her characters. I desperately pine to understand how exactly she comes up with these creepy scenarios, interesting plots, new ideas, sexy intense men.
The EIT series changed my life, those books helped me get through finals week

Karina is the most amazing author. I will read anything and everything she writes and I can NEVER put it down. This book was no different. It was scary, it was HOT and it was AMAZING!
I would highly recommened it!

I LOVE KARINA HALLE.....YOU HAVE DONE IT AGAIN

Combining early American western prejudice against a young woman who is of mixed race (half Native American) with jealousy, horror, and ultimately love is fresh and innovative. Jake McGraw is a Texan giant with a chip on his shoulder but Eve brings out the protective loving side in him. Really loved the atmosphere and story lines. Can't wait for more books from Karina Halle!! ...more
