Once I finished Cinder I had to move on th Scarlet and if I had Cress avalible I would be all over that but sadly I will have to wait, but for now let's talk Scarlet. If you have not read Cinder this will contain spoilers for that and I can not garantee that this will not contain spoilers for Scarlet. Scarlet was everything I loved from Cinder, but bigger.
While, again, the plot was incredibly predictable due to the whole "fairy tale retelling" thing, it didn't retract any enjoyment from the overall story. The writing was inventive enough to carry the predictable parts of the plot. (It probably also helped that I stayed away from the shorts.)
And the characters were just *awesome*.
But then, I've got a weakness for assassins, mages, and thieves in fantasy.

I actually really liked this. I went into it happily optimistic just because even if I didn't *love* Cinder, I *did* like how Marissa Meyer retold the fairy tale. So I was eager to see what she did with little red riding hood.
Once again, I wasn't disappointed. The take is unique and yet it still follows the original take quite closely, even down to some little details.

LOVED IT!!!!! and now once again have to wait another year for the next installment. I am so excited to see what Cinder has in store for us next. Who will help stand up to the Evil Queen??? Will Iko ever get her new body??? And will they be in time to save Emperor Kai???? Ahhhhh!!!!!! Hurry and write the next book!
