Once I began to reread this book, and despite knowing the ending, I could hardly put it down. Set on a small college campus in the 70's, it reads like a historical now. It's as if Anne Shirley-Cuthbert was surrounded by friends who were all as bookish and fanciful as herself. Only with hints of some magic wilder than even Anne ever imagined. . . .
