First half juvenile. Needed tighter editing; would've made a good novella. Never really horrifying, at least to me. But the cover and the finale blow me away, so, yes, it does get four stars.

And yes I recommend it if you're interested and have time (not that it's long, just that I'm glad I didn't dnf).

And yes I will consider more by the author.

A great retelling of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving. Due to a few bloody scenes/gore (along the lines of Sleepy Hollow starring Johnny Depp) I'd be weary of children being exposed to this particular book. In spite of the "horror" I did enjoy this book. The author was able to introduce an angle with mystery and suspense that I appreciated. ...more

Christina Henrey's version of Sleepy Hollow is just a good as any that I've read or watched. Henrey is a poignant writer and her prose is lovely to read.
