Finished this one in a couple hours and it was totally awesome!! Perfect for any age reader. Very clean read. One of the reasons I love Chanda Hahn. Also, she has the imagination of an Edith Nesbit. So unique and creative in her writing.

This book takes off a couple of months after the last book, Fairest, finishes. School is about to begin again after a summer with her best friend and Brody Carmichael away with their own summer activities, and with them possibly as a new couple, breaking Mina's

There were I lot of things I loved about this book: the humor, the water creatures, and I thought the ending was clever. IMHO this is a really solid (haha! it's been on best-seller chart for years, i think, so apparently others have discovered this well before I did!) Young Adult fairy tale retelling series. I'm a kind of half-on, half-off reader of Young Adult. I admit, when things get geared too young, I can kind of drift... (Sorry!) And I also think The Unfortunate Fairy Tale series is a grea ...more

Book Review- Fable by Chanda Hahn
In the third installment in the Unfortunate Fairy Tale Series, Mina is again trying to survive what the story has thrown at her. Her best friend and her crush are now fated for each other and Mina is trying to come to terms with it. She is also trying to figure out how to defeat Teague. Teague is tied to the story and is the cause of her tales. Mina knows that in order to end the curse she has to kill Jared’s brother, Teague. That knowledge makes Mina feel guilty

It is in this next installment in the Unfortunate Fairy Tale series that Chanda seems to throw even more of herself into creating an amazing book. All of our favorite characters are back, and things are definitely all over the place. Mina is just as confused and stubborn as always, but that’s okay it’s what we love about her. Jared is just as Jaredy (yes that shall now be a word), as well all our other favorite characters like Nan and Brody.
As you proceed more into the plot, you will be thrown

Same as my reviews of the other two books:

I thought the telling of this story was rushed, lacked detail, and was on the younger end of "young adult."

That said, I still found the story itself entertaining and interesting. As with the book, if I treated this in my head *like* a fairy tale -- where the telling of the story is really just a vehicle for the story itself -- then I quite liked it.

And I do think this series would be a good one *for* that younger young set. I don't really know anything

I was waiting for this book to come out and to see how Mina would get Teague and beat the Story. What happened was unexpected. There were surprises... sad and happy and what the? ... along the way. I am not at all pumped that I'm waiting again to see what Mina will do... and if she can surprise everyone by creating her own happy story. ...more

YA Fairytale Spinoff Disappointing Compared to the first two installments, this book fell flat. It lacked the depth, charm and humor of the first two, completely throwing away the potential of the current fairytale.
