This book is unique in many ways. Mostly, to me it is a long poem that faces the subtle brutalities of letting go, and moving on. We simply cannot hang on to all our loves; times change as they say, and the revolutions of the wheel of fate are often wrenching. And yet, they're real as much as they're unavoidable, and they shape us. Hard to capture the gossamer thread of living through that in a book, but Anderson did just that. Tiger Lily is a fifteen year old girl, who was adopted by Tik Tok, a shaman for the Sky Eater tribe. Tige Lily has been told that she must marry Giant, a man who is way to old for her. To keep her attention away from him Tiger Lily is either spending time with her friend Pine Sap or with the injured Englander. This was a very interesting and dark take on Peter pan, I think I expected something a little more but I can't put my finger on what is missing. Overall I enjoyed it and I'm glad I read it. Also I liked that it was told by tinker bell that was a cool idea.
