To be honest, I never read nor watch Peter Pan (I didn't count Finding Neverland, which I watched and loved, since it was a story behind the writing of Peter Pan). So I don't know the detail of it, though I'm aware of what it is about. Therefore I try to read this book with clear mind, without trying to compare with the original version,

This is a retelling of Peter Pan that I read for my fairy tale book club. I'm not going to write a whole detailed review of this book because it's impossible to review this book without giving spoilers. And while I won't give spoilers about the actual story, I *will* be spoilering the tone.

This book is unique in many ways. Mostly, to me it is a long poem that faces the subtle brutalities of letting go, and moving on. We simply cannot hang on to all our loves; times change as they say, and the revolutions of the wheel of fate are often wrenching. And yet, they're real as much as they're unavoidable, and they shape us. Hard to capture the gossamer thread of living through that in a book, but Anderson did just that. asem tapi ya gitu lah

kalau mau dipersingkat, ini cerita ttg seorang gadis dg keunikan yg dia punya, tidak meliputi karakter gadis pada umumnya.....

bertemu dengan remaja lelaki yg memiliki keunikan yg sama, mereka berkenalan dg cara mereka, mereka berinteraksi, memperlihatkan sisi rapuhnya masing2, dan mereka sadar saling menyukai.

hanya saja situasi sangat tidak mendukung mereka. tapi seperti waktu yg terus berjalan...mereka tetap melangkahkan kak
