i enjoy historical fiction so i was glad a book like this was chosen as one of my book club's picks this month. this story is about the Packhorse Librarians of Kentucky, which were women who delivered books to people in their rural countryside homelands to try to help promote literacy during the Depression era. there are personal stories that are also subplots that all tie together and it was cool how much these women became friends and actually grew to care about each other by working together. ...more
