What Members Thought

This review is for those who, like me, are late to the party.
The book is extremely lengthy. Therefore, I will highlight the key points in a bullet list with some caveats–as is customary for mind clutter.
Pros:
* Science is sprinkled throughout: It is not given an academic treatment, but it is present nonetheless.
* Scheming is frequent: There is a significant amount of scheming, which is often quite amusing.

I never had a chance to figure out how the stain disappearance worked because of the hindsight bias from already knowing about the mechanics of the drink, so I was excited when Harry proposed the 2-4-6 idea. However, I was quickly disappointed with Hermoine's investigation. I haven't read any Feynman and I only vaguely remember the formal outline of the scientific method from reading a Wikipedia articl ...more

DNF-ed tentatively because about 60% of the way through (after Hermione's SPHEW arc), Harry's opponents become too stupid to be interesting.
