Quote From The Book
I saw movement out of the corner of my eye and sat straight up in bed.
“Hello?” I whispered, my voice scratchy. A figure materialized near the window and my chest tightened with fear. He stepped into the light of the candle.
“Hi,” Finn’s grin was laced with mischief as he sat down on the side of the bed. “How’re you feeling?” He shouldn't have been allowed to look that good. He was only wearing shorts and a t-shirt, but the way he moved

This book was definitely not what I expected, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It was like Everblue meets The Goddess Test and Half-Blood all rolled into one. I love the world Day created, and the mysteries wrapped around Stasia's history and Finn's identity kept me intrigued.
Why did her parents really leave her as a baby? And why does Finn seem to know so much about her when they’ve only just met?

What a wondrous world Kristen Day has created in her first book Forsaken of her series Daughters of the Sea. Having a hard life is nothing new for Hannah. She has been passed from foster family to foster family never really having a place she feels herself.,even after she gets adopted by a family that has everything. Seeing a strange but gorgeous guy in her dreams, which really don’t seem like dreams, to hearing songs ...more

Great start to a Sea Godess series...I actually have a few of these kind of books on my TBR shelf and I'm glad I got the opportunity to start with this one. It has mystery, it has action, it has romance, but most of all it has this wonderful goodness about it that made me smile.
I would write more, but I want to read the next one more-er. ...more

Forsaken By Kristen Day.
I just finished reading Forsaken. I loved it! It is one of the best books I have read in a awhile. It's a about a girl named Hannah, who is more then she seems. She lives with her adopted family in Atlanta. Soon her whole world is changed when she is sent to a private school called the House of Lorelei. In this new place she has to learn who she can trust and how to control the unexpected and wonderful gifts, she's just discovered. In the midst of all this change, a certa ...more

I could not put it down! Kristen Day has left me thoroughly entertained! Every single page of this book was a page-turner!
The story revolves around Hannah who is given away by her parents when she is just a little baby. She enters the US Foster Care Programme and it is anything but pretty. She eventually is adopted but she's already been scared by her past experiences and has always felt like she doesn't fit in.

This is where things get interesting!!! She gets to change her name, HOT guys and most of all she gets accepted, but thats only part of it.. There is sooo much more Sea Goddess, Tydes, Nerie ...more

I just finished this book and read it in 2 days! I could not put it down! It is so well written and so addicting. The way the scenes and characters are described make you feel like you really are in the story. I love how it has a modern twist on it as well! You can really tell the author Kristen Day has an extraordinary imagination! I would seriously recommend this read to all ages! You won't regret it! I can't wait for the 2nd book of the trilogy to come out. I am full of suspension! ...more

This book is fantastic! I was truly captivated by the story. It has love, humor, self discovery, envy, and will take you to a world of the sea. I could not put the book down. I have been waiting for another novel that would enthrall me like Twilight or Need and this book is extremely well written. This has to be the next "up and coming" Trilogy everyone will be talking about! I cannot wait until Book 2 comes out! Kudos to this new author.
