Shelves: fantasy
Kept thinking this was much like a tightly focused Steven Erikson novel. Plenty of surprises for the patient reader. Set in an Arab-like/Russian-Steppes-like world. Deeply flawed and interesting characters. Above par for Fantasy debut.
