What Members Thought
This second short story collection is unfortunately the weakest part of the Witcher universe that I have read. It is not on the level of The Last Wish, the stories feel mashed together without the same sense of purpose as in the other book, and they are less exciting, less symbolic and less epic.

First a disclaimer. My history of following the adventures of Geralt of Rivia is rather chequered. I was introduced to the White Wolf by being gifted a copy of 'The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt' for the Xbox One. I absolutely loved that game. The rich lore, the memorable characters, the complex relationships, the grey moral choices... It was fantastic. I also really enjoyed the DLC 'Heart of Stone' and the Blood and Wine DLC. I really, really enjoyed this. Currently I'm desperately awaiting the translated into English release of the next book on the series, The Tower of The Swallow.
Sword of Destiny, though a collection of short stories, really reads like a novel, just like The Last Wish, however, what connects the stories together are two things, a romance carried on between Geralt and Yennifer. And the other thing, the theme of Destiny, which comes to a conclusion right at the end of the very last story.

The show totally makes sense to me now. Fast reads, entertaining. Looking forward to the actual series.
