I started this book because my boyfriend kept recommending it and we decided to try and read it together. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I did enjoy reading this novel. There are times when Goodkind repeats himself...a lot and it did get a little annoying at times, but the more I read the less I noticed it and almost glossed over it. Overall it was a good story, I could have done without the romantic aspect between Richard and Kahlan, but I have a feeling it will come into play later in ...more
