What Members Thought
I really liked this novel. I watched the show since it started and I finally had some time to start this. I liked how much they kept from the books into the show. The thing that really threw me when I started this, was how young everybody was. It made me uncomfortable with the sexual things in regards to the 13/14 year olds so in my mind I just aged them like the show did and it worked out fine for me.

I broke one of my cardinal rules for this series. I never read the books if I already have watched any part of it on tv or in the movies, but this one couldn't be helped. I had to see what magic HBO has left out, however I even have to applaud them for keeping it almost perfect to the book. I'm hooked, even better then watching it on tv.

It's not often an author can take me by surprise, much less reweave my loyalties to the characters... but Martin managed both. I might even like it!
