"In to the wild" inspired me to read this book. After reading this I developed an insight into the character of Chris/Alex.

There were some tough things to read at time, but the point of view from the dog makes it fund to read nonetheless. I enjoyed 1) the anecdote about Buck's inexperienced paws getting so cold that his masters made him mocassins for which he would throw himself on his back with 4 paws in the air until someone put on his warm mocassins, 2) the anecdote of Buck's first night in the deep snow looking for a warm place to sleep, 3) the anecdote about Buck pulling a 1000-pound sleigh, and 4) the anecdote
