What Members Thought
I was expecting a bit more horror (It's basically the grandpappy of all disaster-flicks) but this story came across as an old-school Michael Crition book. In the edition I read from, there's even a post script by Issac Asimov, talking about the scientific feasibility of the whole scenario, and the psycho-social implications of the story and the allusions to british imperialism (It was very interesting!)

This was a really old edition (1968) but of course the story doesn't change. I knew what was going to happen, but still a good read after not getting around to it was years. The word pictures he paints of what the main character saw were striking.
