I know it's a classic and won awards. Maybe it's because I'm not American and things flew over my head...

But I hated it. It bored me. Read it because it was recommended to me - but we clearly have really different tastes in books. He found it funny. I was unimpressed. I felt that the entire novel tried too hard to be quirky and weird. ...more
