Amazing. Absolutely brilliant from start to finish, thanks to both the inspiring story and Margaret Atwood's way with words. I haven't read anything that great in ages (even though I've read great things). 10/10 will read again.

I did not want to give this book a 5 star, but I don't believe in rating a book based on my beliefs. And, to be honest, my complaints have to do with the televised version and not Margaret Atwood's work. This book deserves 5 stars.
It is written very well. There's an intentional disjointedness that speaks of the protagonist's trauma, but the book is carefully built, and there is a reason for the disjointedness beyond trauma that is explained in the last chapter. For me as a reader, it gives me gr ...more
