Call me a Scrooge but I am not a big Dickens fan. I guess I just am not into his writing. The story has been retold so many times that at some point, I think I got sick of it. However, I'm not saying it's bad but just the writing is something I didn't enjoy. ...more

I enjoyed this even more than I expected to! Dickens' writing style is both conversational (very readable for a classic, I thought) and deep. A great message with so many layers. I really enjoyed the book and our book club discussion on this classic! ...more
