While I enjoyed the story, it took me over 300 pages to feel invested. I also found it hard to relate to any of the characters.

This is an odd book. Nothing really happens till you get to 70% of the book. If you have to plod through the main character being insecure and moany. But it you can survive that the last bit of the book almost makes it worth it.
