I prefer to not go thru the book by chapters which will most likely be the way that Kiley will approuch the book. The first and formost thing that came out of the book is so many emotions you don't know when to duck. Heathcliff has the most unusual of all of them. Him not being a blood relative to any of them sets him up for the character that has demonitic side of things. The two Cathy's and Isabell appear to be playing games till things turn serious. Heathcliff, how do I hate you, let me count the ways...
Actually let's not because it just depresses me.
It's not that I think Emily Bronte is a horrible writer, or that there's not plenty of meat here to put upon the table and discuss the hell out of (and have a lot of fun with too!). It's just that I really didn't like any of these characters, and in fact actively hated Heathcliff and Cathy, for the selfish, childish figures that they were.
