I absolutely loved this book. I read it thinking I already knew the story of Dorian Gray rather well and therefore I would perhaps not enjoy it as much as I could through new eyes. However, I was drawn in to Dorian's world and although the painting was familiar to me, there was still very much an element of wonder and horror with the degradation of Dorian's soul and the affect it had on his painting.

Have you ever wanted to be immortal? To go through your years and appear to be a young man or woman, but with an old soul? Yeah, that's what this book is about. Enjoying an excessive way of life without the passing years' look on your face. I was really sad when Dorian died, he was really trying to make up for the damage he did. Unfortunately, everyone has to pay for their actions, and he paid dearly. Loved this book a lot; Oscar Wilde is one if the best writers I know about.
