This story was the crime drama, whodunnit I didn't know I needed.

It focus on the trial of a mother accused of causing the accident that killed her child and her friend. The story switches perspectives to the different possible suspects and flawlessly tells the tale through their secrets, lies, flashbacks, and court appearances.

This book captivated my interest from start to finish, it is that kind of book that leaves you meditating. I was shocked by the following characters: Elizabeth, Pak, Mary and Abraham Patterley. The story takes place in Miracle Creek, a rural town in Virginia. Young and Pak Yoo emigrated from South Korea, in search of a better life in the United States. I loved this book. I actually liked it because everyone was telling some lies and it took me a while to try and figure out what happened. With the hyperbaric chamber storyline, I actually learned a few things along this pleasurable journey as well!
