This book pulled me out of a reading rut!!! The Silent Patient is my new go to recommendation for anyone looking for a suspenseful thriller. Alicia has everything, except one evening her husband arrives home and she shoots him five times and then she stops speaking. Enter Theo, a criminal psychotherapist who is determined to get to the bottom of this... why did she shoot her husband? Why is she not speaking? This book is written beautifully with touches on art, which I really enjoyed due to Alic ...more

Wide Eyed. Racing Pulse. Shell Shocked Expression.

That's me. Right now. Closing this book.
I absolutely psychological stories in books, tv shows, movies, etc. All of the above! And I'm usually pretty good at guessing the progression of the story well before all is revealed, but I honestly didn't see it coming. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it. I couldn't put it down. It's 5 stars from me! If you like psychological thrillers, then you HAVE to read this one!

Ahhh! This book is so "damn-many" good. No seriously, I haven't been this impressed by a thriller since 'I See You' by Clare Mackintosh.'The Chain' was such a good plot but it started unraveling very quickly.⠀

But not this book, nope!! I thought at so many points that ok, I got this figured out but Alex put me in my place after every chapter and then I was just freaking out towards 40 something chapters cause everything I thou
