This was an absolutely thrilling and compulsively readable story, and I think people that don't read as many thrillers as I do will be 100% blown away by the big reveal and the lead-up to it. That being said, I do feel that I would've enjoyed it even more, had I not read Shutter Island and Before I Go To Sleep (and other similar stories). I wasn't as surprised by the big twist - in fact, I kind of figured it out earlier than I wanted to.

Still, this was a solid, top-shelf thriller with a really

OMG!!! That ending....

I had seen this book all over social media getting rave reviews. I normally don't buy into all the hype with books, but this one... it's worth all the hype. I sort of went in blind. I didn't read any of the reviews and only knew very little that I had seen posted about it. I kept wondering where the book was going and how it would all tie together. I thought I had it figured out. SMH. I did not. Expect to be shocked by the ending.

This book was mediocre at best. It's a thriller, so you know there is a plot twist coming, and no, it's not anyone you are thinking of. At the same time the story is predictable and underdeveloped. Please don't compare this to Gone Girl. It doesn't come close. I appreciated the attempt at the allusion to Alcestis, but there was really no point to it in the end. It's a bland book and as another reviewer said, it's a book you'll forget about as soon as you put it down. ...more

Giving this a very reluctant 3 stars more like 2.5. One of those stories that will probably make a fun thriller movie but the writing and characters felt very hollow.

I’m waffling between 2&3 stars. It was a quick read but it definitely wasn’t unputdownable IMO. This is another book that came highly recommended and had an interesting premise, but the ending was a total let down. And so much of it just didn’t make sense to me.

5/5. That ending! A very quick book that takes an unexpected turn that you do not seeing coming (or at least I didn’t!) highly recommended.

This book does what it does well within its genre. It exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended if you want a twisty thriller. Quick read too!

Good book!

This is an exciting thriller. A great twist at the end that I didn’t see coming. Gripping and well worth reading
