Way better than “the maidens”
The plot twist was good, not too far fetched and not too predictable. The first half was great, the second was okay-ish but still great enough to keep me completely focused. Overall it was very gripping.
Im not too in love with how alex writes women, specially since they are the protagonists in both of the books ive read of him. Idk they seem too far away, it interesting to see how some men might view women but them again it takes focus away from the story and plot si ...more

I absolutely psychological stories in books, tv shows, movies, etc. All of the above! And I'm usually pretty good at guessing the progression of the story well before all is revealed, but I honestly didn't see it coming. I can't say enough how much I enjoyed it. I couldn't put it down. It's 5 stars from me! If you like psychological thrillers, then you HAVE to read this one! ...more

Ahhh! This book is so "damn-many" good. No seriously, I haven't been this impressed by a thriller since 'I See You' by Clare Mackintosh.'The Chain' was such a good plot but it started unraveling very quickly.⠀
