Learned so much reading this. From Barrack Obama’s early days and deciding to enter politics to his rise to become President. I enjoyed the explanations of the Housing Downfall and Financial Crisis. Wow that was so long, heavy, with lots of infos. All I can say at this point is Obama really loves his country, and he is very loyal to US. As an Arab I could relate to a lot of details he mentioned, of course not everything he talked about was from an objective point of view, but he knows plenty! I want to say that I ADORE Michelle and their cute daughters. Obama’s values and standards in life are something else.

Lucid, compelling and extremely well-written, this is President Obama's accounting of his life up through the first half of his presidency, with this first volume ending with the successful Osama Bin Laden mission. He is clear, articulate, and provides an incredible amount of detail into the actions and decisions that marked the years of his presidency. He’s a good historian; providing a lot of background and details on events that transpired, and his and his administration’s roles in them.
