So that's what all the fuss was about! At least I'm not out on a limb all on my own with this one. I did actually really enjoy it. The author did an excellent job hooking the reader in right at the beginning. No synopsis from me, there are plenty of reviews that cover that better than I could.

The Silent Patient is an addictive and mediocre mess that has a lot of flaws; especially when it comes to Michaelides trying to deliver a final twist, but I ultimately really enjoyed the ride! :)

Stunning debut!
I can’t believe this was author’s first novel. It was spectacular. So many twists and turns that I didn’t see coming and an ending that blew my mind.

My podcast partner for Books Don’t Review Themselves, Jessica, has been raving about The Silent Patient for a few months now, and it was on my TBR pile, so I decided it was time to finally read it. I can see why Jessica kept talking about The Silent Patient. I kept turning the pages in anticipation of what was going to happen next, and that ending!

I have to be honest, I really did't care for this book, the story got boring, same stuff over and over and the ending was not to me real. It was just okay.

Once I began reading this book, I was trapped in Alex Michaelides psychological thriller, “The Silent Patient”. It is beyond engrossing, it’s tantalizing.
Alicia Berenson is a happily married artist making a name in the highly competitive art field and her husband, Gabriel, is a prominent fashion photographer. On the surface everything seems perfect, until Alicia murders Gabriel. Not only does she shoot him, she shoots him in the face five times. I had to know what drove a seemingly sweet woman ...more

Admittedly it took a while to get into this. I wanted to see what all the fuss was about so I'm really glad I kept reading. Of all the twists I guessed, I was pleasantly shocked by the end. Great story telling.

The murder seemed cut-and-dry, as pristine as a realistic portrait on a canvas: Alicia Berenson murdered her husband Gabriel. But then, she went silent. Six-years later, psychotherapist Theo Faber is determined to get her to speak in an obsessive fixation that seems to consume him. But what could Alicia be hiding?
And when she reveals the truth, can she be trusted?
