Back when I did Books On Tape for the visually impaired I was tasked to handle this book. I already knew the book well and loved it. But when I had to read that book aloud, in a dark room by myself, it brought a new level of fear from the text.
There is something about this book (and of course the movie) that elicits chills like no other. If you're looking for a real scare...let this be that book you hold off until you know you're ready for some fear. ...more
